I Keep Moving

El Mac, Vietnam »

I believe El Mac Bridges the gap of old school can control and depth with an updated technique that no one can claim.

The Wrinkles Of The City »

JR has been doing his thing for quite some time. His work goes above and beyond trends. I have much respect for his work and especially his heart.

Jungle City Studio Mural »

I caught wreck in NY this month and these are pics of the work in progress. Filming is near completion and finished photos will be taken once new lighting is installed in the area. Total wall space was 41′x8′ which mandated Two weeks worth of real furious painting. The door on the left of me in the first two pics belongs to Alicia Keys. Would you like to see this mural? Unless your delivering food… This mural is accessible only if you have the proper connections and bank roll. The After Midnight Soul series is def in effect with those official Sunset colors for the dead of winter.

Back in the West »

I returned from NY on Tuesday. I needed a day of rest and another to get my place cleaned up again. I have some pics of the mural.. I’ll get them together later this weekend. In the mean time check out this awesome video for the album Rome. The title speaks to me… and the animation is quite descriptive.

Happy to go where the music takes me. NYC »

in September 2010 I released the most recent video for the After Midnight Soul series, Alicia Keys. Since that time, I have been in touch with her and her sound engineer Ann Mincielli for the past year. We have gone back and forth with illustrations as they were putting the final touches to their respective music labs, Jungle City Studio and Oven Studio. I will be leaving next week to NYC and produce The largest After Midnight project as part of the ambiance. The theme will undoubtedly revolve around musicians. Most importantly, it will focus on people who have made New York timeless. The mural will roughly cover an area of 41′x10′ wall space and I’ve got some heavy artillery to unleash. I’m excited to set the mood when both ladies walk into their state-of-the-art laboratories. Here’s a short documentary on Ann’s Jungle Studio. Don’t know much about what she talks about in here lol.. but this engineer is no joke when it comes to sound waves.

Glad it came and went »

As each Christmas holiday pasts it becomes harder for me to not recognize the blatant materialism. I love my parents and siblings. I love to sit at the table and laugh with them during these times. That experience is more valuable to me than a gift from Best Buy (btw, their ad campaigns of the ‘attitude’ mom versus Santa IS the most constipated-materialistic dribble I’ve ever witnessed on TV…besides TMZ celebrities). Now that it’s over lets see how many of us can get out of credit card debt… the Federal Reserves gift to us. Am I a scrooge for thinking this? I wish many people good fortune and truth… However I would like to see those (marketers and advertisers) that commodify our lives end up in a very hot place.
