New Painting »
As 2011 comes to a close this will be the last painting for this year. Check her out in the Gaia series, Paint section
I’ve been working, seriously I have… »
I was out of town for two months painting in Oregon. While up there I had some filming done. I did some live painting (never really think it’s important to show that stuff… anyone can do it if you’re not shy) and started on some new canvas work.
This blog work is a drag. Being up in Oregon made me really dislike it. WordPress is awesome (tumblr is FAIL). but if it was like FB then I would be all about it. Easy uploading and updating is a snap. Am I right? I’ll still do it here. My web designer will be installing a FaceBook window on the right of this page so you can see that I’m not shooting off my time (right, Sherlock devid?)
Now that I’m back for a few weeks I can get back to my work and keep moving. New Years will bring a special project which I will be happy to share with you when the times comes for me to leave first week of January.

I’m loving the intricacy in her torso. and those dirty hands and feet mean she’s not afraid to get dirty and she’s connected to the ground. Check out the full version of her in the painting section of Gaia Let’s keep it moving
Duplici »
I almost got away from the body. it’s been revisited 10x stronger and there are more to come in this fashion. My awareness in composition has increased over the past few months. Certain things that I wasn’t aware of have come to light and are being dealt with. I’ve been listening to my peers. Brush strokes are fazing into the flesh. Light sources are becoming increasingly acute. I can keep going.. but I’m not trying to pat myself on the back. As I walk through one door I see a million other doors that I need to walk through. I’m confident that my life journey will get me through most of them. Check out, “Duplici” at the bottom of Gaia’s Daughters section.

A while back I mentioned that I was done with the Gaia series. I lied. Sue me. check her out in the Gaia section
opalescent females »
I love this new color style I’m working with. I’ll be hanging around those colors for a bit longer. In the mean time check the new girl Quetzalinda in Gaia’s Daughters.
New painting »
Here’s a cropped shot of my newest painting. As I continue with this series I’m realizing my liberty to incorporate more elements into my females. In particular, the use of “wings” as part of the cheekbone structure. I have many more paintings in the pipeline that are taking elements like this a little bit further. You can find her in the ‘Gaia’s Daughters‘ series.

Greetings everybody. I’ve been grinding away on the canvas and some new birds have have landed in my studio. I’m completely entranced with their state of being, flight and language. It’s hard to believe that these little winged creatures can be descendants of giant reptiles. My mission in this series has been to loosen my stroke and to develop a softer feeling that compliments the hard edges of my polymorphic style. This is a great exercise which will lend itself to the bigger-story driven pieces I have in the studio. Check the paintings page for their titles and dimensions
