I Keep Moving

The Krate solo show »

Santa Cruz California reminds me of my old home, Eugene Oregon. But this place has the sun to keep me feeling warm. I showed up with my Dad and brought 21 paintings to the spot. The Krate is a cool space owned by Brandon and Mike. These guys have been super cool with me since day one and it was a pleasure to meet them in person. When I arrived, I was working on one hour of sleep. At the end of the day I was done for. It was time for sleep.

By the way…Remember I told you about a new painting I was working on? It was unveiled there and here is how it looks:

Opening night was a blessing because a lot of people came through. A special shout out goes to a friend that has been a big time supporter of my work, Shley 11. She came all the way from SLC to see the work in person. That is some heavy duty support. So please read her blog and reflect the love back to her. You give love, I give love and soon the whole world gives love…that’s hardcore…forget what you heard on TV.

Dj Drez showed up near the end of the evening and then it was off to the after party to hear him at the Cypress Lounge. It was all gravy until some drunk dude knocked over the turntables. That was a real bummer. Anyways…here are some extra pics of the show, courtesy of my new friend, Nabil Kazerouni (a cool dude indeed).

Check out Art Business News website »

It’s an industry magazine for galleries. I was interviewed by the publication on the Value of Urban art within the galleries. When my eyes went to the bottom of the story I noticed there was a subtitle, “What’s Hot: Stories of Top Urban Artists”… and could you believe I was in that section with artists such as Justin Bua and David Garibaldi. I feel honored! read the entire report here
